There is simply limiting access to the White House, which is no different than Officials limiting who can speak at a local Town Hall meeting, or anything else. People are still free to shout from the roof tops, even CNN can broadcast whatever they want. But getting special access requires special privileges. If a reporter is combative and disrespectful, do they have a RIGHT to keep talking over the President at a White House press briefing? Do they have a RIGHT to get on Air Force One? Of course not. People are only unhappy because the traditions have changed. They're still welcome to stand out on Pennsylvania Avenue with their cameras and say whatever they want. When the President revokes their broadcasting credentials, or nationalizes the companies, let me know. |
