If Trump keeps up with flipping the Hispanic vote, then it’s doable.
How glorious would it be if the Hispanic vote generationally changes to Red.

let the Florida-zation of California begin

if anyone thinks it can't happen -- remember -- Desantis beat Andrew Gillum in 2018 by ONLY 30K votes.

he was resoundingly re-elected in 2022 winning by over 1.5 MILLION votes.

As an aside, something about online ads for a 995 cracks me up. That's a multi-multi-multi-million-dollar machine.

We are only trying to get back to center

Mono is an outlier.  Mono Lake is there.

You missed two key words, “positive gains” and to get to center, it needed to “move to the right.”

Colorado moved even more to the left in 2024.

Deschutes County used to be as red as Klamath County. All the Portland liberals fleeing what they created in Portland and the California commies fleeing their creation have screwed that county hard.

Definitely. Bend gave them a California vibe when they visited,  a bunch of them moved there and flipped that county blue.

Any progress shall quickly get the boot.....  Good luck to those in that beautiful, but politically damaged state.

Gov. Gavin Newsom calls special session to protect liberal policies from Trump presidency

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a fierce critic of former President Donald Trump, on Thursday called for lawmakers to convene a special session later this year to safeguard the state's progressive policies on climate change, reproductive rights and immigration ahead of another Trump presidency.

The move - a day after the former president resoundingly defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential race - effectively reignited California's resistance campaign against conservative policies that state Democratic leaders started during the first Trump administration.

"The freedoms we hold dear in California are under attack - and we won't sit idle," Newsom, who reportedly has ambitions on the national stage, said in a statement. "California has faced this challenge before, and we know how to respond. We are prepared to fight in the courts, and we will do everything necessary to ensure Californians have the support and resources they need to thrive."

Newsom and lawmakers say they're ready to "Trump-proof" California's state laws. His announcement Thursday called on the Legislature to give the attorney general's office more funding to fight federal challenges when they meet in December.

CA needs to stop the top two winners from the primaries for the general. Many of the times it is 2 dems. GOP rarely gets to the general even though they won their primary.

Top two and ranked choice are leftist tools.

One thing that was pointed out by some analysts was how much some solid blue states were less blue this time.  Harris still won them, but the margin was noticeably tighter.

Another perspective: 2018 = Desantis winning by .40%, yes, point four zero.

2022 = almost a 20 point gap. Twenty point zero.

2020-now remote work enabled a lot to flee the Portland dump to Bend. Remote work also enabled red voters who used to live in Deschutes Co, OR to flee to Idaho, Utah or another red state.

Hopefully this is making Newsom sweat. It's showing people are not on board with their progressive bullshit. Personally I think a few of those counties are actually red, but are shown blue for "reasons".

The entire state went red in every Presidential election from 1952 through 1988, except for 1964 (LBJ vs. Goldwater).

I'm up in that little corner up there. This area is typically republican.

I was reading yesterday about the lead the democrats took in California over the last 3 elections. These numbers are from memory so might be slightly wrong. Hilary had a 30% lead, Biden had a 27% lead, and Kamala had a 17% lead. The trend is moving the right direction for sure.

People are becoming increasingly sick of the shit situation we're in. I don't know what it will take in the Bay area for things to turn, it's already so awful down there.
