Ok so now that I'm a full time YouTuber I normally shoot with just my Dji pocket 3. But now I'm digging out my SLR stuff to do multiple cameras as the same time. I have a prepping / homestead channel and I am out and about in the ozarks all the time. I have lots of land and a creek on my property and about died trying to hike there carrying overhang in separate bags. I have a few different canon SLR's for video but normally use a 80D with extra battery grip and the EFS 17-55 constant 2.8F and the size of a standard L midrange zoom. I also have a 70-200 2.8L that I want to take with too plus my DGI pocket and mics Not sure what to get. I have TONS of 3 day assault packs in every flavor. And tons of hiking packs too. We hike a lot too on the local public trails too. I still Kinda have a photographer Business for senior portraits and that gear is in domke, think tank, and tamcrac cases. They are just too bulky to put in another pack. Not really sure what to get or look for. I also would like to strap my carbon fiber tripod also to it. Thanks |

Will go out just to take photos and nothing else? If so, a dedicated backpack might suit you. In my case, I usually go on day hikes, or camping trips: therefore, several other stuff to pack. I use hard-shell cases in my standard backpacks because I pack a lot more stuff. I recently got a shoulder bag just for my photo gear if I'm taking more stuff than usual. Makes easier to carry with my backpack and pull stuff out easily. However, my photo gear has been reduced to cameras (even drone) that I can easily carry in my pockets if I want. The DSLR and big lenses now usually stay home. |
