War Plan Red, the plan for war with the UK, was essentially an invasion of Canada with the goal of removing UK influence from North America entirely. In the forward, the authors thought it so unlikely that they decided the cause of the war was unspecified trade issues. It really only needs to be updated, the overall strategy would be the same. Canada had its own plan, Defense Plan No 1. It called for a pre-emptive invasion to seize what is now the Rust Belt, put it to the torch Sherman-style, then make a fighting withdrawal back north across the smoking ruins of the Midwest to buy time for a British fleet to fight its way into Halifax with a Army to relieve them. Meanwhile, the Brits had decided if it came to war with the US, they would write Canada off as hopelessly lost and just attack US maritime commerce until we got tired of it and agreed to enter armistice talks. The plan itself was rejected by the Canadian govt when they learned of it. They shit themselves at the sheer bloodthirstiness of it and ordered all copies burned. |

ALL of their major population centers can have US airpower overflying them in an hour or less (often substantially less), and their main West Coast and Eastern urban areas are situated a couple hours drive from a major US Army troop base. Canada more or less exists because we're OK with it existing. If something were to change that....it's all over but the (bilingual) screaming. |

I work with a guy that moved out Canada, real good guy, he said Carney Is the biggest POS that ever lived, he has ruined Canada big time almost to the point of no return, Canada co-worker loves walking into a gun store and buying what he wants, I told him we should take a Pic of him holding a couple AR's and send them to Carney, he despises even hearing his name. |

Carney got elected because Trump ran his mouth and pissed Canadians off. The only thing Carney has going for him is anti-Trump, so he keeps fanning the flames, otherwise people start paying attention to the shit state of the country. Trump just couldn’t control himself and wait until after the Canadian election. I suspect they would have a different leader right now and relations would be better. |
