Wife is going to host a big Christmas party this year, so I'm looking for some good, simple recipes for cocktails. I'm thinking Old-Fashions / Chocolate Martinis / Some sort of Gin cocktail / Whisky Sours..... Looking for suggestions for any more (key: need to be simple please). |
| As sacrilegious as this sounds we make a "batched" old fashioned but throw in some apple pie seasoning/spice. Call it sweater weather, it's pretty good if you use makers or any other cheaper wheater whiskey. |

Maple old fashionds can be super easy. Shave orange peel, wipe rim, in glass. 2 cherries, I like luxardo. "Serving" of knob creek smoked maple, choice of bitters (I like black walnut). No sweetener needed. Shake with ice, into glass, or strain over a cube. You could make a couple at a time.
