| So how involved of a process is it to replace the chromeOS on a Chromebook with Linux? I am looking to pick up a Chromebook to mess around with but it is older and the updates are EOL. Wanting to use it to run a Linux VM but thinking that just wiping and making it a Linux OS. |
| This article details the process. I haven't tried it yet (I don't own a Chromebook) |

Yeah well I don’t really need computing power just a portable interface to run a wireless router and act as an interface with a java based program. It will literally have no other purpose. |
