Amen to that. We moved into a new build neighborhood, one of the first there. After a year, the remaining houses were built and about 90% of them filled up with rich white trash. One question: What does it cost (ballpark) to lift a truck like that? It looks stupid as hell, and I can't imagine it's cheap to do.

It's funny, the wife and I have been thinking of a train horn on her Jeep Liberty. It would mostly be used for those assholes that like to play with their phone after the stop light turns green. The stock horn is weak.

I had some from an SD-40 hooked up @ one time but they frown upon that down here (for years a Train couldn't use its horns at a crossing go figure)

Does anybody here have any idea how much pressure and airflow are required to blow a ship's horn for more than a second or two?

Organ pipes are low pressure and high flow, but I have no clue about ships horns. Organ pipes are just giant whistles.

Just like AR's its all about quality, components, etc.

I lifted my 1500 silverado with a decent lift (7" Fabtech) wheels and tires OTD was $5500. Wheels were apprx. 1K, Tires about 1600, so call it 2500 for the lift and install.

When I was looking into a Denali HD and putting a really good lift (Cognito 10") and decent wheels and tires on it I was told to expect 8-10K

Some sets of wheels can run you 10K.

A lot of people put the cheapest shit they can find on. Decent lifts can ride better than stock

ETA: While I loved the truck I am now 7 years older and planning to ditch it for a new one that will stay stock

Having installed and gotten significant enjoyment from a General Lee horn on my previous truck, I looked into installation of a train horn. Not a trivial task on most vehicles because you need an additional air compressor to power the horn, those tanks are big and bulky.

That was a weak-ass little ship horn. I was on the QM2 for a transatlantic crossing and I happened to be on the top deck one day when they blew the ship's horn in some fog. Holy shit! You could feel the pressure wave hit you!
