Dunno - I think I spotted a little rust on it

Would make a handy back-up carry piece for your prison-wallet

Dan Wessons feature interchangeable components in order to change caliber and whatnot. You just need a few more pieces.

Barrel might be relatively easy if you can get a replacement.  Grip frame might be....tougher.

It might be difficult, but possible?

Why would anyone bother to torch cut a revolver for resale. Or it was torch cut and thrown out or sold for scrap?

Not just torch cut also sheared.
By the book destroyed and sold for scrap.
Not saying it was the Feds but whomever it was it was done by the book.

No kidding.

Just tell ‘em you know they’re better than SCCY, and you know SCCY would replace it...

Can’t hurt to try.

They might actually be interested to get it back.

By court order, I once had to destroy a bunch of guns from property/evidence. Took guns to City shop, cut receivers. Took everything to foundry, had it all melted down. Sad day.

Just for grins, can you get the crane/ cylinder open? The cylinder by it self would be a better paper weight.

Looks like it was a crime gun or a gun buy back victim which was then destroyed by some type of nasty shear.
That type of shear work is supposed to make it highly unlikely that the remains could be used to make a operating firearm.

Early model, with the porkchop style barrel shroud.

Those are a lot less common.

Fixed rear sight makes it a model 14.
