I want to put some roofing over the deck. About 12'x12'
Sun blocking rather than translucent. With a system of supports and trusses rather than stick built. Any suggestions? |

You can get those canvas sunshades custom made to dimensions you specify. Varying level of material performance for UV protection and light transmission. Use carabiners and springs to easily attach/detach for storing, cleaning, etc.

Only 12x12, I would do something freestanding with a metal roof like the following
