Worth throwing it out here. Just saw the post about the first gen ecobee thermostats are losing support.

This is related to my problems. I have a bunch of the Adorbee solar security that cameras that I bought off amazon. Well, they all went dark on Jan 4th. I can no longer access them through their Adorcam App. They have an Adorbee app too, but neither app works. Trying to reconnect the cameras, they will connect to my wifi and show up as connected for a second then it disconnects. I logged off the app and tried to log back in and it won't. The cameras are basically useless now, no longer recording video...

Are there any work arounds  to save equipment like this? I've got about $300 in cameras that need to be replaced.

Are other users having this same problem?

Search the camera model and there might be threads about it somewhere now.

There is migration away from some of the older security protocols used for data transfer. They might be dropping at the point that security is engaged (because they can't / aren't updated and can't "talk" to the phone anymore.)

Otherwise, post more details and maybe someone else might have ideas. (App name, camera model, your wifi wireless settings, troubleshooting steps "unplugged all and plugged back in", etc.)

I was worried about this with Ring cams and their Ecosystem.

I ended up going with a NVR and multiple POE cams...  I feel like if the company as a whole or their system went byebye, I'd lose the functionality of the app on my phone and viewing away from the house, but I'd still be able to use it at home and log video to the NVR in my basement.  Not betting on it though.

It's easy set things up so that you can connect directly to your NVR remotely, without using a third party.  I use Reolink cameras and NVR, and I don't even have an account with Reolink.

These were the cameras that went dead. Other people had the same issue, the cameras going dark at the beginning of the month. That app is called Adorcam and is on the play store. I am not aware of any changes to my network on that date, they all simply stopped working.

The cameras did not have the NVR option and were dependent on the app. And since I cannot access the app, I am not able to go in and reset each camera to a factory setting which I do not think would help anyway.

The recent Amazon reviews on that say others are having the problem. There wasn't an indication of what prompted the issue. It's possible they shut them off with an update because there is a security issue they can't fix, or they can't deal with connecting using new security (HTTPS / SSL) protocol requirements.

You may be SOL on them.
