Department of War Issues Legal Waiver to Authorize Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) Disclosures to PURSUE

RELEASE
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Department of War Issues Legal Waiver to Authorize Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) Disclosures to PURSUE
Sept. 14, 2026 |
In direct alignment with President Trump's mandate for comprehensive transparency on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), the Department of War (DOW) today announced the issuance of a targeted legal waiver. This waiver establishes an authorized, legally protected disclosure mechanism for current and former personnel to provide UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) to designated representatives of the PURSUE effort.

Under this directive, all current and former DOW service members, civilian personnel, and contractors holding or previously granted access to UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) are authorized to disclose protected information directly to official PURSUE representatives. The waiver supersedes civil and administrative enforcement provisions contained within Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Special Access Program Indoctrination Agreements (SAPIAs) previously executed within the United States, strictly for communications directed to the PURSUE team.

This targeted legal relief establishes an authorized pipeline for systematic review, security evaluation, and potential declassification of historical and ongoing UAP data in furtherance of national mission objectives.

Historically, individuals with direct knowledge of UAP-related programs cited concerns regarding potential legal liability, loss of clearances, or administrative prosecution stemming from standard NDAs and SAP indoctrination terms.

This waiver removes those barriers by explicitly authorizing covered disclosures to PURSUE representatives without triggering breach-of-agreement penalties or standard NDA violations.

And lead a life of woe, but not forsake
His rugged path; nor dare he view alone
His future doom which is but to awake.” - John Keats

I was just thinking the other day that it has been a minute since the last Friday war.gov drop.

So this doesn't protect whistleblowers from talking publicly, only grants protection if they talk to congress people that will then not tell anyone because it remains classified?

I think what that did is remove all the non-disclosure on reports so they can show up on the reporting system PURSUE so the details of their encounters are being added to that site which couldn't add whistleblower and active duty reports since they had non disclosures preventing them from coming forward.

Now that the number of reports on that site is going to go up, by credible observers, opening each one up for congressional investigation will happen next.   I believe this move was to show the average person how many non "woo woo report anything odd" encounters, but from pilots and military who know what the world generally looks like and relies on that information to respond accordingly and stay alive.

Yeah I don’t know if this feels like a total positive.

Whistleblowers step up, and get told to keep quiet, or just disappear, rather than going to the public.

It's not just whistleblowers, pilots can add entries but whistleblowers can add large batches or something like that when I first heard about the tracking system.  Pilots can self report somehow, it's being encouraged rather than a reason to fire a pilot if he files a report about a sighting while driving a sky buss.

Maybe it is a net positive… I just got a little worried that the interstitial government layer would just review cases and put a heavy “shhhhhh…” lean on someone trying to do the right thing.

I could be unnecessarily pessimistic on this one.

Honestly, that is the same place to sit/hold right now.

I'm reminded of that video cameras over the beach where the water just complexly vanishes and people talk about why that might be and what to do abut it and all sort of other stuff, none of which is "Get out of the fucking way and head toward high ground now!"

I used to like the idea of an arf nation but with some problems showing up for even local shoots, seems the lowest common denominator has sunk.Thinking back, GunStock was like 20 years and a bit ago or is it 21 now?  That's just bonkers!

So I don't know if I say it right blue "Hold No position but try to save/index all the data out do get" kid of thing, same into text file that you can search later if you want but save things, images and quotes. We're like the people standing on that each and we should maybe make sure we're in a danger point jn the eve this all cyclones and basically anything can be turned into "the problem" as easily as most anything can be turned into "the problem'  Luckily, people learned and they not check original sources, right?

All we can really do is e amused by it and find ore really strange stuff.  Mos people already believe something fucky is going on and that's the first step I guess.
