@DrFrige

I'm trying to fix an Amana dishwasher. I've tried to run it a few times and it won't clean. It fills, then eventually empties itself.

I've cleaned all the filters/made sure arms were free. I also tried to ohm test the circulation pump and it showed no ohms or continuity. - this didn't seem right.

I turned the impeller a bunch and it was free.
I also applied 120v to the terminals, and it ran.
I plugged it back into the machine wiring and it ran for a bit and then turned off. I'm guessing it shutoff because it didn't see any water in an empty dishwasher,

My other idea is when I turned the impeller I moved the motor windings to a better/serviceable spot. I just took the motor apart and it's a magnet motor. I also tried with a different multimeter and got like 7 ohms of resistance.

Internet says there is a graphite bushing that wears  the power can't overcome the resistance. This would make sense why it worked after I rotated it. New pump on the way

Maybe the water level sensor is bad? I have been fighting with dish washers my whole adult life. They will drive you insane.

If you open it part way through, is there water or not?

If not, it can be the solenoid or the float switch.
