Ashoka Episode 5 was the perfect episode.
For a streaming series I really was pleased with it. I think Dave really knows what he's doing. What I think stinks is how people who haven't bothered to see "The Clone Wars" or the "Rebels" animated series are complaining about this series or frankly how they're even bothering to review it. This is a series for the hardcore fans of Star Wars and not every streaming series should be made for the lowest common denominator of casual fans. The fans who watched all seven seasons of "The Clones Wars" and four seasons of "Rebels" actually do deserve at least one streaming series for them. Also, even if a casual fan didn't want to watch all the animated shows Disney+ has a sort of selection of Ahsoka centric episodes they could have watched to catch up on things and since it's all available on Disney+ I really don't see the problem. So, when I see reviewers complaining about "space whales" and so forth I have to roll my eyes a bit. Plus, it's like everyone forgot about Empire Strikes Back and the monster in the Space. Star Wars isn't hardcore sci/fi like Star Trek, never has been and never will be. |

Anakin would have had more interactions on Coruscant.. Ahsoka's formative years as a Jedi were spent largely in battle, far from the capital. It stands to reason she wouldn't know most of the Jedi there, indicated by her having to be introduced to several during TCW. |

I think I remember around 10,000 in the Jedi Order. Ahsoka might have heard of him, or might not have. Which doesn't mean that he'd have had to have heard of her. I'm not just the president of the Bad Analogy Club, but I'm also a client. When I went through POST, there were somewhere around 10,000 active peace officer certificates in my state. I wouldn't have heard of most of those people, although I did take the trouble to figure out who was the chief in the places where I'd gone job-hunting. Not that I'd recognize them if I met them at the 7-11. But it's safe to say that even fewer of them would have had any idea who I was. |

If Ahsoka sacrifices herself at the end of the show, I suspect Ezra will do it to stop Thrawn. Then we see a sharp decline in "Jedi" outside of Luke's temple, which sets up Ep 8's outcome. View Quote Click To View Spoiler Unlikely IMO. Ahsoka is too popular a character to kill off in her own show. Plus the cast and some other rumors have alluded to the possibilty of a season 2.

There's a scene in either clone wars or one of the shitty first trilogy where there are a bunch of clones fighting in red dust storm... I can't for the life of me find that scene, but the clone war scene in episode 5 reminded me of that.
Someone with more star wars nerd power than me @ me if you can point me to it. I believe the dust storm may have been caused when the clones shot down a huge Droid orb shaped troop carrier, but again my memory is foggy here. |

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2023/sep/11/star-wars-x-wing-model-rare-found-auction-heritage-auctions A long-lost model of an X-Wing Fighter that was used in the climactic battle in the original Star Wars film has been put up for auction, with bids starting at US$400,000 (£320,000, AU$625,000).
The 20-inch model was discovered in the collection of model-maker Greg Jein, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work on 1941 and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Jein died in May last year, aged 76. Built by George Lucas’ visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic, the model was used in the final battle, including the famous trench run, of 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope. It is one of just four known “hero models” especially detailed for use in close-up shots; it has articulating wings, working lights and is marked with battle scars. The model stood in for the X-Wings known as Red Leader, Red Two and Red Five, the latter flown by hero Luke Skywalker. |
