The disconnect is they are wrong.

There is an obvious difference between the Left and true conservatives/Constitutionalists:  the Left wants huge government with absolute power, to tax, regulate and control every aspect of our lives, down to how we speak and think.  The conservatives want small gov with limited power, that leaves everyone alone to believe and do as they will... as the Constitution prescribed.

The way Andor is being done gives some hope that a dark side focused DARK plotting Sith series could be done and done well.

Something that stretches so far back that what little Yoda knows of the dark side was passed down to him because it predates when he was born.

How it could then be woven in to the mandalorian lore is something that would take some actual vision and goddamn talent.

This possibility and the thought of the above is what Star Wars fans nerdgasm over and yet we get shit like "like a bantha" with Boba Fett.

Andor is definitely an "in the right direction" attempt.

A series on darth maul and his education/upbringing would be cool.

One predating yoda or padowan yoda would be good too.

The animation style makes it difficult to get into and some of the episodes are pretty forgettable, but it has some of the best Star Wars content out there and is a must watch IMO.

I would recommend watching it in chronological order rather than release order, it gets confusing sometimes.

Pretty sure some of that was covered in some old CloneWars stuff where they went into Maul surviving.

Bane and the entire Knights of the Old Republic stuff was pretty decent.

I'm looking forward to a KOTOR series, but I think they're going to milk the Filoniverse to death first.

Mando/Ahsoka are basically built to tie into Rebels and TCW, they'll have cameos and story arcs to last a decade.

Maybe after Andor wraps that team will move on to KOTOR, or Bane.

I think Allan is incorrect.  That would be a single plane setup, and even then, you'd need sliding assy's because of joint distance.  Double plane would need sliders too.

Not necessarily.

Nothing says they don't fold or collapse for shipment like the rotor head of helicopter.  It would make no sense to not be able to collapse the fighter for easier shipment.

They have shown the wings fold to flat, per the mandalorian, and rebels iirc.

That requires a longitudinal  joint, and not 120 degree spaced arms though.

Palpatine is pure evil, but you have to be in awe of his genius.  I like that Andor is paying respect to that genius and the Empire competence, because to have a good protagonist you absolutely need a highly dangerous antagonist.

Need to compare to existing Ties within Andor from heist scenes and then comfirm if they are identical to Rogue One/NewHope.

They have taken liberties with the designs as time moved on.   Look at what was Episode 1-3 versus 4-6.   7-9 doesnt matter exist.

I can see shapes for death star as well for enter locking floors and making spherical designs based off triangles and hex shapes.

Just so nice to see the thought put into this series.   Wish to fucking god they took more time with Boba/Obi nonsense.

Nope. According to Wookieepedia the Outland Tie was in use in other scenes, it just wasn't necessarily shown with folded wings.

Folding wings aren't new either, just the way they fold changed. The Grand Inquisitor flew a Tie/ad v1 which went into production for a while too so if they are making those parts the timing would be about right for a next gen version. Rebels showed a couple experimental versions they were trying.

Plus, the Outland was a design for the movies (that will remain ignored) and was picked up for Mandalorian so makes sense they would link to the other series on D+.

Yeah, the series was originally supposed to run five seasons so two is already a shame.

They've done way too much work setting up backstories and easter eggs to cancel the second season now.

Andor leading into R1 is going to be amazing, ratings will catch up. It might even be like Firefly where it doesn't get recognized until it's over. Lots of people couldn't get past Kennedy's producer credit and the slow pace, but even my kids have warmed up to it.

Two hardcore, freedom loving women with meaningful things to do and say kept me invested in the parts of their characters that matter.

Watching this show, I keep thinking how funny it is that the writers are probably pretty left of center, while I'm pretty right, and yet we all hate the goddamn government. Saw's rant against ideologically impure groups that share a common goal was on the money.

Yeah when they went into the gay scene I kind of rolled my eyes and braces for the SJW rhetoric but it was surprisingly mild. And rather than being like “the empire is oppressing us because we’re gay!” They kept it simple and just used it as an example of the sacrifices the rebels are making. It wasn’t really necessary but it also didn’t take away from the over overall story.

It's already been covered, but Ahsoka isn't a Twi'lek she's a Togrutan.

One notable example is the Jedi Master Shaak Ti (seen in the prequels on Kamino).  They haven't been seen a lot on screen compared to Twi'leks.  There was a brief arc in TCW where Anakin and Ahsoka rescued some from slavers.
