The fact that it wasn't really points to her being in on it. I think Gideon would rather capture the ships than destroy them, especially the light cruiser.

And a LOT of it is directly at the expense of Din Djarin.

The bitch of it is that its not even necessary.  Bo-Katan is a character that a decent/non-lazy writer should be able to write as a likeable badass without needing that crutch.

I mean, Palpatine could have found his lower half on Naboo and cloned his balls. I guess. But a clone of someone isn't exactly the same thing as the OG that ruled Mandalore. It's not like Rex or Cody have Jango's memories. I just don't see it. Maul's story ended perfectly in Rebels.

Everything is interconnected. Din as a character continue in other shows like Ahsoka. Everything is leading up to a interconnected movie.

It would have been pretty easy to kill those guys squeezing through a small hole when you're standing there holding a light saber 9000. Not to mention the doors were operated remotely when they were initially trapped so they evidently wanted them to escape.

It's Star Wars.  95% of the dialogue is like that.

Did anyone see her (the lady no one will follow unless she has the magic sword) use the force to pull the nope-not-a-light-sabre a couple episodes ago to slay the mecha beast that captured shiny man, or did baby yoda do that for her? Yes, terrible. It has always been this way. It has been a long time since I have watched the 1st trilogy, but I was 11 when SW came out and probably not all that perceptive regarding dialogue.

They really could use some writers from Justified, The Shield, etc. to polish the scripts.

Could you imagine if we had Justified-style dialogue in The Mandalorian? It would be epic.

I enjoyed the episode. I guess. I expected a little more.

However, The pirate Mando’s have been on the planet since the purge or whatever they call it, they know where the forge is located but never noticed the imps. They have to be in on it and led them there for the ambush.

Also. Grogo knows the skill of force choke. He was willing and able to murder Cara Dune over an arm wrestling match. But sits there like a retard when Din is being wrangled by death troopers. He could have easily forced choked Gideon to death. All they would have needed to do is protect him long enough to crush his esophagus. Game over.

I don’t know. I like the series over all. I just want more ass kicking.

The first season Mando was blasting people into clouds with his rifle. I want more of that.

I predict you are correct.  The pirate Mando's: displayed no skill in operating their sailcraft, walked the whole team into an ambush, and demonstrated little ability to fight off imperial rocket pack commandos.  That entire sun baked crew is totally suspect.  The payoff may simply be the right to be the one and only Mandalorian house when the others are disposed.

This was my thought exactly.  They set it up perfectly:   no comm due to atmospheric fall out.   She breaks atmosphere into a chaotic mess of the former mando fleet in full battle.  Would have been awesome...and a great set up to what was about to go down planet side.

I don't watch SW for the dialogue. Better dialogue means better writing and directing. We haven't had that in a theatrical release of SW except for Ep IV, V and Rogue 1.

One of the best space combat sequences ever put to film is when they left the anchorage.

The very first episode of the series was great. The in-atmo sequences on New Caprica recovering/launching vipers. There was a lot to like in that series, and it kind of went off the deep end and jumped the shark quite a bit towards the end.

On a completely unrelelated note; ship leaves atmo with rain on it.  Once in space, since there's no air resistance, wouldn't water droplets still be all over the ship?
