The X-Wing novel series and I, Jedi were great. Especially I, Jedi and how it tied in with the X-Wing series and Coran's escape from Ysanne Isard's secret underground prison/Super Class Star Destroyer on Coruscant. How he hid in the shuttered Jedi museum and found his biological Grandfather's lightsaber. How the itch on the back of his neck when he was a cop and a fighter pilot was actually the force giving him an cognitive advantage.

The Coran Horn easter-egg was Coran's name s part of the graffiti in the Jedi Underground hideaway in the Obi-Wan series.

Maybe. This is what I remembered: https://www.inverse.com/entertainment/obi-wan-kenobi-rogue-squadron-easter-egg
But if you stick around until the credits, this character is given the name Corran. For hardcore fans, that means only one thing — Corran Horn. Corran Horn was a Rogue Squadron Ace who later became a Jedi in the non-canon Legends continuity. According to Legends, he was born on Corellia, not smuggled there, but there could be a good reason for this change in yet another Obi-Wan Kenobi Easter egg.

Andor deserves those nominations.

It was absolutely brilliant, I can't believe more people haven't watched Andor.  "Andor" so far, is the exact type of Star Wars I have long wanted.

I like "Andor."

I liked "Rogue One."

I liked the Season 1 and 2 of the Mandalorian.

I like the final season of "Clone Wars."

I  did like "Rebels" (it improves after Season 1).

I have really enjoyed "The Bad Batch."

I think "Ahsoka" has a lot of potential.

There is some good stuff and good people still left at Lucas Film.   The problem is Kathleen Kennedy and over at Disney Iger, who are both liberal they can barely function.

Andor was exceptionally well done specifically because it didn't involve the Force.

That’s what I keep saying too … there are a galaxy’s worth of stories that don’t involve the Force or Skywalkers or even Death Stars, with a little creativity they can be told.

That's what made the OG EU so great. Tons of material not related to the Force.

Her entire life was shaped by war, and she was trained by one of the most powerful force wielders in the galaxy.  It only makes sense she'd be a formidable fighter.

In the defense of Disney (I can't believe I'm actually going to do this), the canon had issues due to the prequels. Prior to the prequels, they established that the Death Star was developed by Qwi Xux and its construction was managed by Bevel Lemelisk. Xux was an genius kept under control of Admiral Daala at the secret weapons development center in The Maw near Kessel.

Kyp Durron, a force sensitive slave in the spice mines escape and eventually steals the Sun Crusher and while.doong so, he mind wipes Xux and makes her a vegetable. All while Wedge Antilles was banging her.

In the she, she gets coloring books for Life Day after Kyp Durron and Lemelisk eventually is kidnapped by the Black Sun and the Hutts to build the Dark Saber, the Death Star's super laser without the rest of the space station. Eventually he is killed by Coran Horn.

This was all written and published before the prequels came our. Which the prequels completely rewrote the creation of the Death Star.

You now had a continuity issue. LucasArts basically had to deal with it.

So, from Disney's perspective, I kinda understand why they did what they did. Because there was a number of issues like that

But what Disney should have done was taken the very best of the EU. Instead, they made a cluster fuck.

Having a hard time rewatching Rebels.  Ezra is annoying AF.  The show is so goofy and cartoonish, like G.I. Joe had better battles.  I know it gets better but this first season is a slog to get through.
