Seriously though I gotta ask, what did loctite or Henkle do?

All I know about Loctite is, they make (defacto Standard adhesives, and threadlockers), Henkle, I thought was maybe a parent company, who maybe owned other similar companies, OR maybe they just sell various brand adhesives.

Aside from when  was googling for which Loctite to use with HP airlines and coming across Henkle, I've never heard of them.

Well, they sold over $6.6 billion last year, so their WW2 customer base must be HUGE.

Aside from the fact that Richard Kuhn & Konrad Henkel researched/invented/produced nerve gases (namely GB, Soman) during WWII and then after the war Konrad and his father, Hugo Henkel (who literally looks like a cookie-cutter caricature of from a Steven Spielberg film), were both arrested for war crimes?  But they were obviously rich enough to grease the right palms because they were given their company back free and clear like two years later after successfully graduating from "reeducation camp".

Seriously though, I really couldn't care less what they or really anyone else were doing half a century before I was born.

I don't know.
But some company sells thread locker similar to lock-tite, except the removable blue locker is in a red tube and the red permanent is in a blue tube.
I could kick the guy who decided that in the nuts.

I'd venture most paper towels, toilet papers, and kleenex-type tissues are assembled with Henkel adhesives.  I'm in that business.  If you want paper on a roll or in a box, you need adhesives.

They sponsor a newer Formula E car from Porsche.

Guess Porsche felt their WW2 connections needed an update...

Perhaps he's thinking of Heinkel?  Heinkel produced military aircraft for Germany during WWII.

THIS,  as a former industrial user of Loctite products I do agree that having every product in a red bottle or tube is annoying and having to "read" the bottles to find the right "number" of Loctite.
