Yup, RMR02 on a G19.
Over a few years, my personal observations carrying with a red dot AIWB are:
I have a big dot RM02 and I would go smaller next time. I would prefer to cover less of the target with the dot. For me smaller is not harder to pick up if the illumination is right.
Auto adjust is fine, no real need for manual adjustment capability. They have never been in an unusable illumination intensity in any situation for me, and I have tried to trip them up. Outdoors, indoors, indoors aiming outdoors and vice versa, and everything in between I could think of. One less thing to fail on something electronic.
I went with suppressor night sights for backup even with everything I read at the time suggesting not to, and I am glad I did. When you get used to shooting with a dot, the irons disappear and never cause any distraction as was feared back then, even in the dark. And when you need irons, you have night sights.
On many of the holsters I see, the RMR hood is uncovered. The hood on mine is faded from rubbing and bumping against my 6-pack (keg actually lol) AIWB. I'd hate to imagine how the rubber pad of the adjustable would fare from the sweat and rubbing.
I suggest a holster with a hood for extra protection and to keep adjustment buttons covered if you go with an adjustable. I had my hooded holster custom made by a local maker then, but I think some holster makers offer it as an available option on carry holsters now.
Ive gone to I think max 2 years between battery replacements on Energizer 2032's and they were still usable but noticeably dimmer in bright conditions. I follow the "change the batteries out on your birthday" suggestion I read somewhere.
Get a spacer plate, the sight has a rubber seal on the bottom but a Glock slide is too narrow for the seal to seat against. Stuff like sweat gets in. That said I ran a few years with no plate with no problems but I got a Trijicon plate for peace of mind. No it does not any work to fit it, it is the exact shape of the sight so just put it in between the slide and sight and go.
Refinish the slide cut area. If your gun gets sweated on or wet it will find its way in there. I just masked and sprayed with Alumahyde.
