Um, are you buying? Because I like the top shelf stuff. You thinking of making it?

Patron Silver is what I like for sipping, but I rarely ever drink it anymore.

Yes, I like Tequila. I'm not brand specific. The only thing I steer away from is the tequilas that have other flavors than tequila flavored liquid in the bottle.
|
|
I generally find it revolting. I've had people offer me supposedly good tequila and I've found it at best to be just minimally offensive.
Bourbon or beer for me. |
|
I'm a recent convert to margaritas so I'm tagging for shopping list.

No, don't like the smell let alone the taste of it. Might as well be drinking gasoline.

Love me some tequila!
I don't care if it's high end stuff or pure gasoline, I drink it all. |
|
I've been drinking random tequillas lately. Found that I prefer reposados.
Anyone got some recommendations? Would be awesome if they were under $50 as well. $30 would be the perfect price point to me. |

Depends on the Tequila.
Clase Azul Reposado neat, in a tumbler is amazing. |

I like 1800 Anjeo and our ABC chain has a good one called Tierra Fertil that is very good as well.

Yes I do! I don’t drink any more for health reasons but when I did I liked an occasional shot of Casadores or Patron tequila. I really did like the taste and the buzz.

Quoted: I have zero interest in distilling it. I like the idea of “imported” on the label. No slight of hand. View Quote Just be careful on that. Take for example the one mentioned a few up, Tierra fertil. This is nom 1438. Nom is the number reference to the distillery sort of like dsp numbers. Nom 1438 makes over 150 absolute garbage products at different price points. They are constantly being fined from buying salmiana agave and unripe poached agave from cartels, they are constantly being fined for using more than the 1% allowed volume for additives, and they almost exclusively use a chemical bath diffuser as opposed to roasting the agave at all. They sell the same trash distillate at a bunch of different price points and wait for a celebrity like Michael Jordan to help them sell their extra aged and extra sweetened stuff. I know you're an enthusiast based on last conversations we've had on scotch, and trust me the big noms are all around just not worth working with. |

I love certain mezcals neat.
Me and tequila had a rough breakup and I just can't make myself enjoy it anymore. Perhaps I haven't tried the right one, but I'm not looking very hard. (Can't find any of the standards I see mentioned in AL, regardless). |

But this is just kicking around in my head at this point. I have just now after two weeks of correspondence worked through the requirements on how to even get it in country. As you would expect it’s…involved. But doable. I wouldn’t pursue garbage regardless. But again I am just kicking it around and testing the waters in a very limited way to see if tequila drinkers are brand specific or like discovering new things. |

Tequila and fresh grapefruit juice is a favorite in our house. Usually Patron Silver.

Nope, I smell it and wretch.
Drank a bottle of Cabo wabo when I was 16... can't even smell the stuff now. |

After 5 tumblers of the stuff, back in California in '79, it was the most fun I had throwing up. I laughed through the whole thing, including dry heaves.
I prefer Jose Cuervo Especial Tequilla Gold. |

Quoted: The aficionado community of it is not brand loyal, but is obsessed with transparency and are nom loyal. If you imported from somewhere like nom 1123, 1146, 1414, 1545, or 1474 you would have customers right out of the gate. Add in aggressive transparency about roasting method, fermentation time, distillation method and proof and the agave nerds would fight each other for a bottle. A label like this gets the agave community revved up https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/349595/20220315_181026-2314613.jpg https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/349595/20220315_181106-2314615.jpg View Quote Very cool.
