I’m not necessarily saying Tim Walz is THE worst VP nominee from a major party ever, but I can’t think of a worst one.

Given that his former commander, replacement Sgt major, and the chaplain came out and talked how bad he was it’s not surprising.

How many votes did he get from his bug-eyed monster alien home planet?

Poor little dude and his inflated sense of self-importance took a big hit. Maybe we could all keep a straight face while he talks about his war record... Do you think that would help?

His own family hates him so yeah worst ever at least modern history...

Why would you waste a good VP pick on the Harris clown show?

They're keeping the "better" ones for 2028.

It was a very strange pick. I was seriously not expecting it.

He was a baffling pick, brought nothing to the table, and arguably became a liability.

Not that we'll ever see it, but I'd love to hear an explanation of the thought process of picking him.

FDR’s first VPOTUS had to be replaced in the ‘44 Election because he was probably a NKVD asset, that’s a pretty tall bar to clear but Timmy probably could do it.

No one viable could be bullied or bribed to take the job. I bet Gauleiter Gretchen laughed in their faces when they asked her….if they hadn’t forced Biden to pick Harris over her back in ‘20 they’d have been in a better position than they ended up in.

He has his sights set on 2028

The guy couldn't even coordinate a road closure. I can't believe they never brought up Vechirko. That should have been the start and finish of the whole thing.

The "Jew" is not stupid. He most likely was asked behind closed doors prior to Walz and he happily declined to ruin his career.

Beat by Mikhail_86. He gets it.

I have no opinion of his qualities as a human being at all. The question was about his qualities as VP nominee, and he wasn't a good one. Most good people aren't suited for politics at that level; it sort of speaks well of him that he wasn't.

Most of yall would probably disagree with me.

It's Palin IMO.   When McCain picked her, it was over for him. They simply didnt mesh together.  Palin didnt really appeal to the masses.

She  appealed to the masses more than mcstain.
When he picked her their numbers went up.
Mcstain  was afraid she was stealing his limelight, so he and his rino cunt wife sabotaged her.
Just like the idiot sabotaged his own supporters when they criticize obummer.
Mcstain was a joke.

Hope he's keeping a spot warm for Jimmy Carta,  he should be joining him soon.

Josh Shapiro had baggage that eliminated him.

1. he wrote an article in college saying he volunteered with the IDF. Anathema to the pro-Palestine dems. His only argument to get out of it, was to admit that he greatly exaggerated his involvement.
2. as AG, he reviewed a case where a lady was stabbed like 20 times and the state said it was suicide. He stuck with the suicide ruling. He had some connections to the fiance of the dead girl who would've been a suspect if it was homicide.

He has ambitions for sure and loves to show off his Barack Obama impression every time he has to speak publicly. But I think that point #2 is gonna stop him from getting anywhere near presidential candidacy.

Outside of him and Tim Walz most of the other options ruled themselves out. Roy Cooper, Gretchen Whitmer, Gavin Newsom all said no thanks, not me this time. Which evidently was the smart move.

The only other guy in consideration was Mark Kelly from AZ. Not sure if that would've gone any better for the Dems than Walz.

As strange as the scenario was that brought Harris into place, I'd also like to know the thinking behind Waltz. I'm sure they thought they needed an older looking white guy but nothing about the pick makes any sense. If they wanted to win enough to get rid of Biden, they weren't looking for throw away candidates. They also spent a billion dollars trying to win.

Unless the plan was for consultants and politically connected to get chunks of campaign cash, Biden endorsing Harris sort of blew up what ever plans the party had.

if he wasn't the worst pick. he is in the running for the title.

i have to guess. he somehow made it through their screening system. then he was the only one that said yes.

It seems counterintuitive, until you realize, that Biden was picked specifically because he was a stupid old white dude that could never show up Obama or cause him trouble.    Then, Kamala was picked because she was an even stupider woman of color, who couldn’t possibly out-do Biden or cause him trouble.

The Dems were just following the tried and true playbook.    Security through increased Incompetence.  Nobody would dare impeach/remove the President, because the replacement was truly unthinkable.

They literally scraped the bottom of the barrel, to find that guy.

@Requiem
That is exactly, and Profoundly, Wrong.    McCain was not well liked by Republicans.   Palin had real charisma which appealed to the masses.    Yes, she had bad managers, and the Media did a number on her, however, the VAST majority or voters who voted for them, were voting for Her, hoping McCain would die (of natural causes).

If you don’t believe me, we could do a nice little wager here.  I’ll post a thread with a poll.   Winner take all.    I propose the loser commits to buying 3 new memberships for low income deserving veterans. Lmk.
-I’ll be winning my second major wager very soon, and I want to make it a Hat-trick.
