| So now that it has been out a bit, how you guys like it? Popped in Doom 2016 yesterday and reloaded Eternal on our Switch and had a blast. Since I'm holding off on a Switch 2 for a while and my gaming laptop is getting dated, I was thinking of getting an Xbox with this game to start off. |
| I enjoyed it. I love Doom, not like the dudes that have to play it on extreme-mega-super-death difficulty, but as someone that just enjoys the game for what it is. Played on XBOX (free with game pass). I will play it again, like I have most of the others (except Doom 3). |
| I didn't like the idea of the idiotic "Doom dance" strategy that Doom Eternal was forcing players to follow in order to kill BGs, so I passed on it. Doom 2016 allows players the freedom to use their arsenal the a way they like. This latest chapter isn't doing it for me, either, just not sure why. They've been blowing it by not having a co op survival mode. |

I'll pick it up later if/when it goes on sale on Steam, like maybe during the holidays. I'm not the biggest fan of paying $70 for a single player shooter. Doom 2016 is brilliant though, lots of fun and still holds up well today. |
