Check out the speedo at (2:28) You've entered ludicrous speed.
Michael Rutter on board the Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale - PART 1 |

Ha, yeah wonder how fast that topped out.
It’s some busllshit that the Speedo’s only go to 185 My gsxr1000 analogue gauge only went to 185 but the needle kept on moving |
|
Don't think that was measured at mph. He was being easy on it through the turns.
That sun right in his eyes on that stretch had to be a bitch, I hate helmet glare. |

It’s in mph not kmph. The speedo goes blank after 185, but if you notice the tach, it’s redlining at 14k. 185 kmph is 114 mph. No way it’s redlining going only 114 mph. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Watched this earlier today. Sick.
Every time I turn my bike on the gauge does it's test thing and the speedo goes to 186. It's like every damn time I turn it on it's reminding me that that's how fast I could go I've gotten it to 130. |

There are sooooo many spots on that course where a tiny mistake would mean certain death, regardless of protective gear. The approaches to flat-sided masonry buildings in that video particularly make me gasp.

|
Can we all just take a moment to realize that this might be OP's first thread that wasn't about gorey deaths?
|
|
Long ago I did 186 on my 2009 R6 only did it one time that was the top speed on it wouldn’t go past that. Long straight flat ground no curves.

Braaden church about 1:50. One of my favorite places to be during the TT. Last one I went to, they were up near 220 mph up around the mountain.
|
|
that headshaking after 2:35 was making me clench up, these guys are insane.

Those guys have the biggest balls of anyone on the planet.
185 MPH next to brick walls, houses and trees is insane. |

No doubt that is hauling ass but I bet the camera makes it seem a little more hair raising to the viewer than it is to the rider in motorcycle vids, due to the tunnel effect of the camera.

Holy crap that was cool. Based on the rpm and 6th gear, he was doing about 195 mph at 2:28. I didn't know Ducati made a V4 or, for that matter, a bike with a wet clutch. Ducatis look cool but I like my clutches like I like my women - wet, smooth, not grabby, quiet, and Japanese.
So, is this just a copy of the Honda VFR? |

When I saw who the OP was, I was honestly expecting the video to end in a splat. Lol.

It's one thing to go out and rip on a specially prepared track with tire barriers and runoff areas. It's a whole different mentality to go out and rip like that through a town on roads people are driving cars on the day after the race.
I especially like the 180mph wheelie. |
|
Top speed was insane but I was more impressed with how fast it got up to 150, couldn't have been more than a few seconds.

Hell yes, its that time of the year again. When is it live this year?

Skills View Quote But it also takes an encyclopedic knowledge of the course to be able to run those speeds, and knowing when to roll the throttle on, when to roll it off.......all of it at speed, sometimes when the sun is shining directly in your eyes. Where is that turn in point? What is over that crest? Turn in too late, and there’s no run off and you might kiss the wall. Brake too early, and you lose your drive thru the next sector. Anyone can open the throttle and go fast, but doing it on a public road, at speed, over 37 mile long laps, takes the rarest of skill sets. |
