Wanapum Dam

The video link is in the news story, didn't see a stand alone link. IIRC Wanapum is the one a couple miles south of the I-90 crossing of the Columbia River at Vantage.

HA.  Our bird is better than Canada's bird.

Wife and I have seen Bald Eagles pick up mud hens and take them to the nest to feed the kids.

They used to fly over the place I worked at previously. You'd here them honking. I kept wanting to bring my rifle to work to shoot he damn things out of the sky. And it'd have been easy as they fly low.

A bald eagle taking a Canadian goose isn't normal behavior, at least not here where ducks or coots are plentiful. Our "flock" of geese varies, but there's usually 20 to 40 about at any one time. There are also multiple eagles nests on the other side of the lake. The eagles like to hunt in pairs, mostly going after the rafts of coots. The geese pay them absolutely no attention at all.

An adult goose poops two pounds a day, on average. They're a damn scourge. Our town hippies lost their minds when a cull was called for, so we spent big bucks trapping and relocating them. You'll never guess what happened.

You wanna know what? You got a problem with Canada Gooses, you got a problem with me, and I suggest you let that one marinate.

J/K, screw those geese. They used to shit EVERYWHERE where I went to college.
