I miss the white couches, white carpet and rugs, white furniture, white drapes, white fan blades, and light colored paintings. Bring back the 90s!

My parents were married in the early 60s, scrimped on every dime and were proud to have a nice cherry dining room set that reeked of early sixties decor. It's still there. Every other room was what I might call middle American normal. By the 1990s I was a young starving married person whose idea of good furnishings was to splurge on better quality stuff at the local Amish furniture store.
Thankfully my ex didn't share any of the ostentatious decorating ideas prevalent in the pictures above. Or, maybe she gritted her teeth because she couldn't afford such short garbage. I dunno |

Agree with the other poster that what you put up is more modern, op.
Mid century modern is incredible popular right now, I buy and sell it almost weekly now. A dresser that I posted Saturday evening had 13 replies by Sunday morning. Sold a set of 4 chairs on Saturday for $600, paid $50. I've heard this stuff is all over some of the more central states, I've been tempted to get a large cargo trailer and pick it up to sell to the hipsters in SF and LA. |
