SpaceX- self explanatory, and Starship can be a game changer for space manufacturing and/or a space economy. Starlink - satellite internet that can function as it's own standalone internet. Tesla - AI, cars, robots, batteries, solar, mining Twitter/X.com - will evolve into an everything app that encompasses social media, journalism and micropayments, youtube/tiktok/patreon/twitch capability with monetization, onlyfans/pron, secure messaging/voice/video, zoom capabilities, along with his X.com vision of a massive financial institution that will handle things like payment processing, bank accounts, transfers, micropayments, crypto, stock trading. And being able to pipe TwitterX directly into Starlink will make a shitload of people worried and angry once they realize what he's doing. You're going to start seeing "anti-trust" and "too much power" tossed around by the same people in gov who never said a word about google. |

Facebook has been profitable in the past but as far as I know Twitter has lost money every single year. As much as I absolutely hate FB, it's laughable for Jack to be using it as an insult because he wanted to name a feature "Birdwatch" rather than something that would give people a clue to it's purpose (or existence). Just another example of the gross mismanagement at that company. TLDR: Point is, he's the last person that should be throwing stones. |

I still wouldn't find it "comfortable" - just less uncomfortable. Personally, I support the guy wholeheartedly. Even before this Twitter fiasco, he's the only person in the world that seems to have the future of humanity in mind. The other billionaires are only worried about their own futures. We lost a good 50 years of potential space exploration and colonization due to government ineptness and corruption, but he's made up for it in leaps and bounds over the last decade. I have full faith that he will continue pushing for space stations, Lunar colonies, and eventually Mars colonies. With his Boring Company, he's probably already considering mining the moon, asteroids, and Mars. With a more advanced AI, he could even do it all with autonomous machines, rather than risking human lives. I know a lot of this is wishful thinking on my part, but being a sci-fi junkie at heart, I can't help but hope that he will be the one to finally get us off this rock and spark a new era of pioneering and exploration. NASA certainly isn't up to the task. |
