Woohoo, Elon liked a Tweet I made where I mentioned my For You feed is still left biased and showing 90% left leaning content despite the fact that I removed everyone I follow and then cherry picked just a handful of people.  Elon's talked many times about how they have been trying to fix the feed and that it is much better but obviously there is still code where it is suppressing conservatives voices while promoting liberal voices.

That is pretty cool.

Hopefully he has people that can find the code and fix it. I know he has said the code needs a complete rewrite due to all the things embedded in it.  My account clearly shows there is still a coded bias.  The For You tab is supposed to use an algorithm that pulls content based on who I follow and the people those people follow.  That is supposed to be the main criteria for what type of content is shown to me.  I am only following 78 people now and that list is made up of accounts such as EndWokeness, LibsOfTikTok, Joe Rogan, Rand Paul, MGT, Tim Pool, Alex Stein, Catturd...etc but I see no For You content from any Right leaning users.  I get crap from Jefferies, Fetterman, Schiff, AOC, Newsom and other liberals.  The For You feed is useless to me.

Minnesota Senator and Hindenburg presidential candidacy Amy Klobuchar sent a letter (h/t ReclaimTheNet.org) to Jeff Bezos demanding that he enjoin Alexa from citing “unvetted sources,” specifically Substack and Rumble. No hell is hot enough for this person.

(Reuters) -Social media researchers have canceled, suspended or changed more than 100 studies about X, formerly Twitter, as a result of actions taken by Elon Musk that limit access to the social media platform, nearly a dozen interviews and a survey of planned projects show.

Musk's restrictions on critical methods of gathering data on the global platform have suppressed the ability to untangle the origin and spread of false information during real-time events such as Hamas' attack on Israel and the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, researchers told Reuters.

The most important method was a tool that gave researchers access to data about 10 million tweets per month. Twitter notified researchers in February it would end free academic access to this application programming interface (API) as part of an overhaul of the tool, according to an email seen by Reuters.

The survey of 167 academic and civil society researchers conducted at Reuters' request by the Coalition for Independent Technology Research in September quantifies for the first time the number of studies that have been canceled due to Musk's policies.

It also shows a majority of survey respondents fear being sued by X over their findings or use of data. The worry follows X's July lawsuit against the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) after it published critical reports about the platform's content moderation.
