Actually that template was/is still being used in introductory design/cad/architecture classes as recently as within the past 5 years......

Your screen name is fitting.

Yup, I have ballistic ones, traffic and vehicle ones, crime scene ones, they were valuable back in the day.

No, but I've used one of these a few hundred times.

LOL!
My older brother (2 years older) went through Drafting, and he had at least a dozen stencils.

Used one that had various structural steel shapes when I first started. In the ultimate shortcut we used to run off stickie sheets of beams and braces without dimensions on them that were clear. You stuck them to a drawing when shit had to be done in a hurry and filled in the dimensions. Saved having to draw the same shit over and over. All our stuff is not to "scale" but close and dimensioned out.

I had one of those as a kid!

I did three years of drafting in highschool in the 90's, we didn't use templates like that but they were common at the time.

I still draft out a few small jobs in the parking lot of city hall sometimes.

I have a draw full of them with triangles, scales, and ink pens, I was just using some of these things to draw a kitchen layout for a remodel.

I still use stencils, as when I get offered design build jobs, I will hand draw ideas and send them over for approval. Once the first couple changes are done it goes to the cad person.

I have a mess of them for several different disciplines since I started in architectural engineering then changed to mechanical, some electrical templates too. I can't remember the last time I actually used one though.

Yep, while in school for architectural engineering. My class was the last class that hand drafted all their work. We had AutoCad last semester, and never used the tools again on a professional level.

Yep, theatre major. I also have those for computer flowcharts and so on.

I’ve used them for plumbing fixtures. I’m not that old but hand drafting was still in curriculum circa 2011.

I had similar type stencil things... but none with any 'professional' uses. I have never used any professionally either.

Nope, I've only hung and focused instruments.  Bring on the color and diffusion!

Not one of those, my career was electronics.
But back in the early days before computers were mainstay I used the versions made for electronics.
They looked like theses:

I always use this when I'm feeling down.  I max it out every time.

I still have a three piece set from the premium DeVry bookstore.

I had a set from my dad when he was with Bell in the 60's, for POTS switching systems and so on. Had all kinds of weird icons on it. It was an AT&T Bell systems thing, made specifically for them. I don't know what happened to them.

I have never used one. Now i must get one of each now, thanks

Had an electrical symbols stencil for making control schematics (or modifications), but 90% of my best work was freehanded pencil on big sheets of cardboard.

If you are a fellow industrial or field guy, 'fess up and admit it, too.

Only as a kid.  We had some from my father's uncle.  I didn't know what they were actually for, so I just drew with them.  I have used similar rulers for accident and crime sketches.
