I cannot honestly blame any business waiting for official guidance from the ATF before potentially doing something that will get their license pulled and close their doors. They didn’t make this mess so there’s no reason to be mad at them for being overly cautious. |

| There won't be any suppressors out there to buy by the end of the week. People are buying the hell out of them right now. I'd be interested to hear from some of the manufacturers and Silencer Shop about how much inventory has been chewed through at this point. |

For a Montana resident and a GOA and CCRKBA member I assume that adding stocks to say a Mossberg Shockwave, MP5, or anything that started it's life as a pistol or stripped receiver is good to go? The only state law I found that covers SBR/SBS is MCA 45-8-340 https://mca.legmt.gov/bills/mca/title_0450/chapter_0080/part_0030/section_0400/0450-0080-0030-0400.html Since the Shockwave was never less than 18" from the factory or MP5 or AR pistol that state law does not apply? I read it as the statute prohibits knowing possession of a rifle or shotgun that when originally manufactured had a barrel of 16"+ (rifle) or 18"+ (shotgun) and an overall length of 26"+, and that was later modified so the barrel or overall length is now shorter. It is aimed at people who cut down a full-size long gun. I realize for suppressors we are in limbo (still have to file Form 1/4) with MCA 45-8-336 https://mca.legmt.gov/bills/mca/title_0450/chapter_0080/part_0030/section_0360/0450-0080-0030-0360.html and MCA 45-8-337 https://mca.legmt.gov/bills/mca/title_0450/chapter_0080/part_0030/section_0370/0450-0080-0030-0370.html I am mainly focused on making SBR/SBS's at this time. |

(Yet) Thanks ![]() There has been one major change, if Silencer Shop is to be believed, ATF will be implementing a process to remove 4473 transferred silencers (and I would assume SBRs and SBSs) from an FFLs NFA inventory. While we don't have a drop of details yet, and I guess it is theoretically possible SS made it up, if it is true, it means ATF will be voluntarily complying with the injunction, eventually. That is a monumental shift, though thus far a quiet one. |

I've seen several of these "something changed, buy everything now!" cycles and it always works out the same way. Give it some time and we'll be back in another "nobody's buying anything" slump once everybody has bought their must-haves. Then some politician will say something after a shooting and everybody will panic buy again. |

Apparently their strategy was to force a circuit split so they could take it to SCOTUS (best case). To do that they'd to get the cases from district to circuit court - either by losing and then appealing or winning and DOJ appealing. But maybe there was a Plan B? Strategically pick district courts where they had a good chance of winning, create relief for massive plaintiff groups, DOJ doesn't appeal (a risk) and... What? What we have now on a national level until Viramontes is decided? And Viramontes leads to dismantling the NFA, GCA, etc? |

Didn't he lose some guns that were on loan, or something of that nature? I recall they just kind of disappeared and he wasn't able to get them back. |

However, that shouldn't prevent a fella from going and buying one from a store that is selling them on a 4473. I mean, the pro-registration fans of GD will crinkle their noses and wag their fingers with an accompanying: "better watch out", or "you're gonna be sorry when..." But that's always been the case with gun stuff on the internet I suppose. I remember the days when people were freaking out over someone putting a rubber cane tip on the end of their AR pistol's buffer tube: "10 YEARS WITH BUBBA IN A FEDERAL POUNDING IN THE ASS PRISON!" Anytime someone asked about using silver solder instead of pinning and welding a flashhider resulted in 300 word prison rape scenarios. Refuse to register your brace? Well, then you're trying to play some kind of 2A tough guy, and (my personal favorite) are a secret anti-gun activist. Gayness. Gayness all around. |

I am interested in all associated freedom with all this, but I am focused on the form 1 side. This is an interesting video explaining the related associations with actual relevant attorneys. GOA membership doesn't 'cover' you for this. Maybe this was posted in page 87.5, I didn't catch all the purse swinging. Waiting patiently like everyone else, but joining the SAF and CCRKBA as well. |

| For anyone in a free state with a willing dealer who is taking advantage of this buying opportunity make sure all the members of your household become GOA members if they are not. If not, right after the ATF kills your golden retriever they will charge your wife and 18 year old daughter with Constructive Possession of an unregistered NFA item. |

Everything posted above is factual. Maybe.

Just keep it in the safe and tell the wife if anyone asks she does not know the combination. problem solved. |

It was expensive but damn not this high!! I hope whoever is responsible for pricing didn't burn his lips on that crack pipe. Hate to burst your bubble, but they’ve been that high for a few years. The new production old style A3 stock is a couple of hundred more than the newer F stock, and the TACO tax has driven up prices even more. You complain about the length of this thread then post a 45 minute video of two legal talking heads umming and uhhing with no indication of where the worrying part is

Is that silencer that you own in the NFA registry because you went thru the Form 4 or Form 1 process? A 4473 can is not. The judges order forbids enforcement against members of the lawsuit. A spouse who is not a GOA member or other party to the lawsuit is not covered. $25 is cheap insurance. |
