Has anyone successfully flashed the firmware in the GT3B/GT3C transmitter, and get it to bind with a receiver? I flashed the firmware on mine, seemed to go ok, all the menu functions are there, calibration goes ok, but it refuses to bind to any receiver. I can bind the receivers to another transmitter. I also noticed the Bind button doesn't seem to work in the button test feature, but I'm not sure if that's a button that it can test. |

It's the PSX firmware. I also ordered some bearings so I can add one to the wheel. Watched a video on the install, seems pretty straightforward. I've already done the 5v regulator mod, used one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B52TNZXM/ Shortened up the link hopefully it works. Unavailable now, but I've got extras.  Just note the pinout isn't the same as a 7805, so you have to flip 2 pins. I ended up removing the pin header and soldering it on the other side of the board, then putting some heatshrink on one of the pins and then crossing them. Clipped the leads of the original regulator close to the part, and tacked the pin headers onto the leads sticking out of the board. Seems to be sturdy enough. |

Maybe this is the same firmware? I don't know of another modded firmware for this transmitter, and it's been around for many years. |

Swapping out the voltage regulator with a buck regulator and adding the ball bearing to the wheel's potentiometer are 2 other great upgrades to do. |
