On that plate I would eat:

Cheese
Chips
Beans
Avocado

I don't want any of that other shit. I hate tomatoes and cilantro so much.

I’m fortunate in that cilantro doesn’t taste like soap to me. I love pico and will eat it in place of salsa . I’m also a jalapeño freak. I made this with the simple recipe. Garlic , lime, Roma, cilantro, salt, jalapeño, and white onion. Absolutely love the stuff.

I'm OK with all of that, except for avocado.

Don't much care for avocado.

There's people here who don't like using onions for cooking? Crap, man, they wouldn't eat SQUAT I make.

I’m fine with simple. Hell im fine with the janky stadium round chip , pickled jalapeño , cheese sauce nachos.

I was trying to use up the ingredients from taco night. The black beans were because they’ve been i the pantry forever and couldn’t think of a better use for them.

Was not disappointed

Looks good to me, some people have a taste for taco bell and dont know what they're missing in life.

I make some loaded nachos in an iron skillet, I may have to try making my own tortilla chips.Attachment Attached File

I’m all about my skillet, but for nachos I’ll stack the cheese chips and meat on parchment paper positioned for plating. The put them in the oven at 350 until the cheese is melted. Then just slide them on the plate and dress em. Paper goes in the thrash, no cleanup.

There’s plenty of jalapeño in that pico. It’s a few days old so the oils had time to really steep. Nice and spicy

Your lunches always deliver OP.

I do have to give this a 9/10 as I hate pico de gallo.

If I did like it, this would be an easy 10/10.

A healthy sprinkle of chili powder will really put that over the top.

Otherwise 10/10

No nacho pics but here's my taco dinner from a bit ago.

Fried corn torts and chips sprinkled with cotija cheese, homemade guacamole, and rolled tacos.
All filled with shredded and finely chopped crockpot bottom round then fried up with taco seasoning.

You ain't gonna find better tacos anywhere than these.

The only thing better would the ravioli nachos I make. Recipe for those can be found in Post 8000.

I was genuinely surprised by the amount of people here that reject onion, tomato, beans, cheese, and avocado. I couldn't imagine cooking without onion. And a world without cheese ain't worth living in. And beans? What did been ever do to anyone? And if I didn't have garlic, it would be a sad time for sure.

Anyway, here's some nachos, using all that stuff. They were the bomb.

Cut your mission corn tortillas in half and fry em up, season while drying, I used Tony's creole but Lowery's is great too.

I had leftover skirt steak , pico, and guacamole from taco night. Cheddar and Swiss, black bean, and some queso Fresca and sour cream. I was going to garnish with green onion but just plain forgot.

Those would actually be nachos if there were jalapenos and they had been run under a broiler to melt the cheese.

This place is filled with semi-autists who live on chicken nuggets and bread sticks and can't stand two different foods touching on their plate.

Once their balls drop their taste buds may develop to the point where they'll branch out into the scary world of VEGETABLES (only corn mind you).

I like them them on a pizza or in Italian food in general but they have no place in Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine.

Whenever I see them I assume the person who made the food is a Yankee.
