That Panther looks like it's in exceptional condition from the one angle. Beautiful tank and piece of history. I love hearing stories of people pulling preserved WW2 tanks out of bogs (or basements). When I was stationed in Germany, I wished I could have found some bunker loaded with P-38s and Lugers.

So it was no secret he had the Panther for over 40 years and he had paperwork showing the main gun was de-milled. He had permission to possess it from local authorities but now he can't? Part of his sentence is to sell or donate to a museum or sell the Panther, 88, and firearms (also de-milled) to other collectors, many of whom are interested are other Germans? How does that make any sense?

Very interestingly, this is apparently not a genuine 'NAZI'
 Panther.You can skip directly to mention of this guy's tank at 7:00 It was built by the British using spare parts found at the end of the war. (they built a handful from remaining parts) I do realize the Nazi's built the parts, that comprise the tank.  Secret Allied Panther Factory |
