I do 5x5

But I have found not lifting during golf season means I am a better ball striker and hit further.   Maybe I am too old and run down to handle both at the same time?

I've been into Olympic weightlifting for years, so need a platform.

But with a 300# barbell set, some type of rack or stands and a strength training program 3 days a week will keep you in better shape than most the population year around.

Some basic stretches and calisthenics.
Jumping jacks, push ups, and planking.
I personally avoid sit ups due to construction lifestyle.

Gym 3-4 days a week, dont have to go crazy on the weight. Do more reps.

Get out and walk! 1-2 miles a day and pull some hills.

Will hurt at 1st. Within 30days you will be amazed.

Walking  , body weight exercises,  Jumping Jack's  , a lot of stretching,  crunches.

Some weight lifting, but too much.  I don't want to overdo it , and as I get older I don't want to hurt myself
