I scored a nice pair of Cerwin-Vega AT-15’s today. They need to be refoamed but are otherwise in very nice shape. And they’re fricken huge . All I had to do to get them is rebuild a carburetor from a four wheeler. Not a bad trade.

I had 2 MPH, Pioneers back in the day. They had the goofy tweeter , on top . Becker towers while in highschool.

Did you also score a reel to reel??? |

I miss my CV 15s. Wife actually got them in the divorce. Heavy as all hell but sounded amazing

It’s funny, I was watching a Friends rerun the other day and noticed the speaker in the background. I hadn’t thought about the old pink rimmed CV woofers in forever.

Not bad it looks like $27 or so dollars for a foam repair kit for the pair.

They are amazing for "bookshelf" speakers. |

I scores a pair of JVC SK-S44 for garage speakers. Man those things are nice. (And loud, clear sounding). I need to run some heavier wire to them from my receiver.

I had CV’s just like that. Had a 12” sub, a nice midrange and a tweeter. Of course they were powered by the Pioneer receiver... . |

In the mid 90s, I had some DCMs with 12s in the bottom. I originally had the ones with 10s and used the step up plan at Circuit City to get them. They were awesome. Very efficient and great bass. Watching the U-571 depth charge scene was awesome, almost like having a powered sub, just through the front channels.
Attached File My buddy had Infinity Crescendo Series CS-3007 tower speakers with the EMIT-R tweeter and dual 8s in the bottom. They were awesome especially when he had them hooked up to a Carver 250x2 power amp. Attached File Pictures are just what I found online. |

I had a set of CV 15s in college with a measly 150 watt/channel amp on them.
They were bad ass. Not a straight picture in the house. |

My prized Sansui's from the early 80s almost survived the raising of our children. I later replaced them with a vintage set of Pioneers, but those did not have the same sound.

I still have a pair of Infinity Kappa 7.1s that I run bi-amplified for watch TV
Bought them while in Nuke School in 93.... |

90 pounds?
Granted my B&Ws 803s are only 60. My buddy has 800ds that are 300 each. |

I remember huge barracks speaker wars of the 80's
lots of guys coming back from Europe with huge CV speakers, cranking it up to 11 |

View Quote I have always wanted to build a giant speaker like that Fostex makes a 31" but not near big enough for this kind of insanity. I don't think I could pull off an actual speaker driver build, even though I have seen it done on youTube |

I tipped my Klipsch La Scalas face down on the floor and played “On the Dark Side”, from Eddie and the Cruisers. Their light fell out of the ceiling. |
