Sure.
I am finishing a month with a Zodiac Super Seawolf and have a Fortis Marinemaster on the wrist ready to go tomorrow.
I’m up late tucking in some “refugee” arrivals from Western NC.
A childhood, equestrian, and college friend of my youngest daughter is arriving.
Their family and area they are both from was hammered.
She has barely been married for a year, her husband is recently out of the Army after an enlistment, and they won’t have power for a few weeks.
He’s working for his family’s electric and plumbing business.
Her entire place of work/job was washed out.
He’s driving hours to get to a route to bring her, a horse, and their dog here.
To get his barely a few months pregnant wife out of ground zero.
And leave in the morning to get back.
Young families are already taking it in the ass without lube economically and socially and housing wise compared to boomers and Gen Xers.
This is a devastating blow for them.
I would give away every watch I own to make transportation, education, land, housing, insurance, etc. proportional to what it was for my wife and I 30 years ago.
We struggled, scrimped, saved, sacrificed-
But would not be able to afford our first apartment, late model used all weather reliable, bullet proof transportation, insurance, first apartment, first house, first nice house, hell, even the house we bought ten years ago , at the proportions they are now corrected for inflation.
