I love a good double entendre.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner.  It definitely looks like a very custom-made pipe, and it doesn't seem to have the normal attachment for the stem. So I don't think I could "restore" it in terms of making it look the way it did when it was new. So in terms of having it as a keep-sake or memory, I would just leave it as-is. If you wanted to smoke it, then I could probably put a completely different (new) stem on it, so that it could be used again. I cautiously use the word "probably" because I am a little concerned about the metal part (the ring) and how the original stem is attached. I'm a little worried that the cutting or reshaping I would have do to might end up altering the pipe so much that the originality of it might be lost, just in the interest of making it usable again. |
