Berettas are very nice, but come on man, you need a 1911. The ergos are unmatched and wholly natural. The most natural pointing pistol ever. Were you born in the US?

I just got an HK45 after being heavily into Glocks (and always will be)
That HK is NICE-shoots like a dream |

When you hold them you can literally hear the Marine Corps hymn as grainy black and white images of men in steel pot helmets trudging through jungle flashes across your vision. I mean, I’m assuming that happens for everyone…right? |

Beretta PX4. Full size or Compact. DS/SA both. Easy shooting. Comes in 9MM, .40 and .45 ACP.

Polymer striker fired? I think the Walther PDP Pro is the current king

Full size modern handgun that isn't a Glock? Well, then you're left with all the "not a Glock but wants to be a Glock" leftovers...
The VP9 as far as I know still suffers from dropping the striker on a sharp knock to the grip (try it, there's a TON of youtube videos on it) The P320...has it's issues. At least it's relatively insulated from Sig's usual "make it for 3 years, discontinue it and then cease all support for it entirely" line shift since it's now a .mil issued gun The PDP seems ok, I just wish it's grip angle was a little more Glock-ish if I'm honest but otherwise, a little flippier than a Glock but it seems to work great - way better optics mounting too The Beretta APX is actually a really good candidate - I wish I wanted one more, but I just kind of don't. But I wouldn't complain if one showed up, at all. They're damn solid guns that have a lot of ergos going for it. The FN 509 - Big old solid "meh". Nothing about it excites me...maybe I'm just not in the know; I have no idea why they're popular. |

Walther PDP Compact with the 4-inch barrel. I have one with a Holosun EPS and a Streamlight TLR-1. There is no factory trigger better than that on the PDP.

CZ, but I keep hearing nothing but good about the PDP and would like to check one out sometime.

Quoted: Sig P220 Legion SAO 10mm. View Quote So close... P229 Legion SAO compact. Great range + carry excellence. The more I shoot it, the better I like it. Attached File Go here and so some reading, these guys love their Legions pretty close to the Dan Wesson COTEP cult. If you know, you know Sigtalk Legion |

If you go with the PDP go with the pro it has the enhanced trigger which is $180 trigger
on Walthers website but they are nearly impossible to get as they sell out in minutes . |

Walther and Staccato come to mind. I think that Walther has the best trigger pull of any striker-fired pistol and the Staccato is just an amazing shooter.

I really like my M17/P320 Great trigger right out of the box.

Would go Stacatto, but I've got two lifetime supplies of Glock mags on hand already. And I love the customization you get for the price. |

Walther PPQ has best striker trigger. VP9 is up there too. FN509t for all the features. USP if you don’t a few.

Quoted: Beretta 92. This might be an odd observation, but one of my favorite things about it is while most modern handguns sound like a screen door spring stretching when you rack the slide, the Beretta 92 has a nice slick "Click-Clack" that sounds smooth as the slide operates. And the gun has some history with our armed forces. And the single action trigger pull is nice. View Quote To be clear, I don't carry one typically but i shoot it as well as anything i own. |

Best bang for the buck, S&W 2.0 Metal or 2.0 Metal Competitor. Seriously outstanding pistols. |

View Quote Excellent taste. I don't even care what shade of cerakote dark green it is. Dark green is a great color and a great gun color. |
