My first post!!!
Hey guys, My name is Jon, I am a certified Volkswagen technician. I can pretty much work on anything I can get my hands on but I specialize in German cars such as Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes, etc. In my line of work i do a lot of new cars, warranty repairs, retail work; you know, all the boring stuff. After hours I specialize in highly modified projects. I drive a 465 awhp audi a4, I've build 500awhp Audi S4's, a couple turbod 550 awhp VW R32's, and I'll be building a 450 whp GTI & a 600awhp 2004 R32 in the spring. 13 years as a Commercial Turf Equipment Mechanic (golf course equipment,( Toro, Jacobsen etc..)
I do all kinds of shit. Diesel engines, 2 and 4 stroke engines, hydraulics, electrical, welding and fab, reel grinding, equipment purchasing, budgeting, employee training etc... Love my job. |

boat/yacht builder. Im supuervisor of the interior department. I build interiors for sportfishing yachts ranging from 55' to 81' at the moment. Big money furniture, veneers, composites, and the like associated with lightweight RV/Marine furniture. Kinda fun, I get to overblow rich peoples budgets!!!!

Hey guys been lurking for along time. Decided to post a little more.
I am a PMP ( Pest management professional ) Love what I do, Its dirty but good job security. 90% of my work is monthly inspections at company's and small businesses. During the summer we get slammed with residential applications. You get to see a lot of very cool things in the basements of old buildings!

A&P mechanic. I've been working for the .mil for going on 13 years now.
Best aircraft I've ever worked? F-15 A/B/C/D/E The coolest one of those? An F-15 C/ASAT with 229 engines owned by Edwards. The damn thing came in with a bubbled windscreen. It was wrote up because the pilot left the rain/ice blower on. MY ASS. Last I heard that bird is mothballed now

I've done remodeling for the last 5 years or so, finish carpentry since I was a teenager, and have made furniture since before that. I currently do most of my work in the American Federal Period, but do other styles as time and needs permit. I do most, if not all, of the critical work by hand and do the rough milling and processing of boards with machines.

Computer networking technician by trade but i hate it
A+ cert Cisco CCNP, Security analyst and intrusion specialist (fancy name for legal hacker), Data network tech dealing with hardware aspect, C++ and a few other certs but i hate my cushy job tbh. in my area no one will hire me because id want to much money  (over qualified) so I've decided to go back for my hobby a computer geek by day welder and sprint car enthusiast by night.
going back for my welding cert I've been welding since about 10-11 i think something like that only type of welding i cant do is tig welding and that's just because I've never had anyone teach me or have a tig welder, ill weld anything i can typically touch. instructor is gonna have me help teach the programming side of robotic welding, i sat in 1 class and could understand the program that little robot used to do everything, but i wonder if i could program it to make coffee....  class project.

Was a restoration (tuckpoint, caulk, clean) journeyman in a previous life, working on churches and courthouses from OH to GA and everything in between. |

Im a flooring subcontractor, and have been since i turned 17. I specialize in Ceramic tile, but do vynals, hardwoods, engineered woods, and on the slow day even carpet [altho i try to stay as far away from the fuzz as i can.]
My specialty: Custom showers. 
and from time to time, Ill take on complete remodels of kitchens / baths..

Used to be a framing contractor til the residential market died on '06. Joined the Carpenter's Union and have been doing commercial concrete formwork mostly since then. Currently working for a company that specializes in concrete decks ( high rises and parking garages), but I've done plenty of walls and columns and a year and a half at a mostly undergound power plant rebuild that involved a lot of unusual situations and pallets of Hilti epoxy and a 100 tons of threaded rod to attach our formwork to the bedrock.

I do mostly Bathrooms and Kitchens..gut it and rebuild. Other stuff..Im competent in most plumbing stuff (excpet big pipe DWV, i have a guy for that)and I can also do most electrical from installing a breaker panel to running pipe-pulling wire and making connections.
