Their bread and meats are good. The veggies and fixins suck. I suppose if your a meat and cheese only kind of sandwich eater they are great, but to me they are very overrated.

In college the chicken tender sub was a great hangover remedy.
Now that I am old, I just ate one on a regular Friday night bc my wife was as Publix and didn’t feel like cooking. Chicken Tender sub with ranch and buffalo sauce, no veggies with extra cheese FTW. |

Come someone explain to this Alaskan bumpkin what a Publix is? I've only ever heard of it here on arfcom and from what I've gathered it's like a Safeway or Fred Meyer?

It depends on the specific Publix. The one I used to shop at was awesome. I moved, and the new one just isn't the same. It's good, but it's not great.
