We have one we take in our trailer camping.  Used it in Tetons with bears around.

We have one, we like it.

It’s good for making lots of taco stuffins…

Yup, great for making fajitas.

Haven’t cooked with but damn sure had the best tacos I’ve ever eaten out of one.

Looks like fun but I don't suppose I need one because I have a Blackstone and a couple of woks.  Since I use one on both types of cookware, I would think an infrared thermometer would be a handy thing to have.

I love my discada.

My dad made it for me from an old disc off a plow I spent hours pulling around our family farm as a kid.

I’ve even taken it to a Run and Gun in another state to cook breakfast on it for a bunch of fellow Cola Warriors.

Discadas are awesome.

Have a smaller version I made out of a plow disc.
Use it occasionally. Cool tool.

The agricultural irrigation specialists I used to work with used the same. If I showed up at the right time free tacos!

This is what my neighbor's is made out of, only two discs. The bottom one is for the fire. It's old school.

It's a disco, what you cook on it is called a discada.  Well that's what we call it, sirloin cubes, bacon, chorizo, jalapeños, onions, splash of beer, cilantro, mushrooms, chipotle and some garlic salt.  Best when cooked over wood fire and tortillas warmed up on the edges.  Yum, yum get you some!

Yeah it seems pretty niche but pretty amazing at the role it fills

I like purpose in tools, which I think is why I'm drawn to this. Like if I just cook tacos only I'll be happy

It seems ok for someone that wants to take it places to set up and feed several people. It literally does the exact same thing as a flat top griddle like a Blackstone except this is a wok. Some of the pics in this thread looks to be carbon steel instead of cold rolled steel

Hell yeah,  brother! Nothing better than grabbing one fresh out of the oil and crunching it while drinking a cold beer.

I'm intrigued.

But with a Blackstone and giant Wok already I'm wondering what this does besides adding another piece of cooking ware to take up space.

It's perfect for something like Cola Warrior.  Plus you can clean it off by just pouring some shitty beers on it.

Yeah fire pit or (my favorite) shovel hot charcoal from main drinking fire into secondary cooking fire pit.

Or, yeah propane

Drinking fire gets bros and bullshit.

I shovel off hot coals from that into a secondary cooking area and use that well established charcoal to do cooking. I have even done this with a full chicken. Just find two y shaped sticks, another stick with a right angle, boom you have a rotisserie
