Thought I'd share some pics of what it's like to haul cryogenics. I'm a local driver, so I drive a daycab and never drive more than 500 miles a day. Some days it's less than 100. This is the back of the trailer. Lots of valves, but it's all pretty simple. Attached File Hooked up to load. I'll load around 47,000lbs or 7,000 gallons. Attached File Almost perfect. Attached File This is one of the customer tanks. It is 15,000 gallons and there are five of them here. I will be filling 2 at the same time with this delivery. Attached File Hooked up and ready to deliver. Attached File |

These are the valves on the tank. There is a top fill and a bottom fill. By opening the top fill a little we can control the pressure in the tank. The liquid going on the top cools the vapor and brings the pressuredown. Attached File Pumping Attached File We use a pressure builder (vaporizer) on the trailer to maintain positive pressure during the delivery. Attached File Delivery done and draining the fill line and hose. Attached File |

Thank you for trying to help! Do you make more hauling than that than a non hazardous material? I do remember the fog coming off of the frozen lines to the tank. At night, with the truckers lights on, it was spooky. |

At our terminal most drivers earn between $100k and $120k. The key to trucking is to pick a specialty. Whether that's tanker, oversize, or LTL. Just something besides regular box van. Cryo companies are pretty picky about their drivers. They want a couple years experience driving a tanker and a spotless driving record. |
