So when I built the new motor for my crv put on headers and exhaust.  Headers were hot as shit.  Cerakoted them.  That reduces the heat a bit .  They cooled down really fast but still kicked off a ton of heat in the engine bay.

I put heatshield products "header armor" on this morning.   This shit is amazing.  The metal on the back of my fans isn't even hot. Can't feel anymore heat coming off the headers than the rest of the engine.

Worth the hundred bucks if your running headers (200 if V8) for sure.  This works even better than the header wraps we put on cars at work.  Less heat that the factory manifold and heatshield. May not look as cool as wraps but works better.

Nice. I've been looking at similar for my downpipe particularly and maybe the manifold on my MR2

Looks extremely similar to another product/service offered by another company - but they seem more aimed at high end motorsports, with a price to match.

Looks cool, pun intended. It will be neat to see how it holds up. I wanted to wrap the headers on a car of mine but was talked out of it by a friend at a speed shop. Wrap can weaken the steel or trap moisture. Some he saw got brittle and crumbled. Others rusted. It voids warranties but I didn’t know that was a thing. Maybe your stuff is better. Not too close to the pipes. It looks like something I saw on a factory vehicle. Probably a Honda Pilot.

It's open on the size towards the block. It more or less operates like a factory heat shield for headers.  Has a half inch thick fireproof insulation under the aluminum.   So the heat can still escape it just doesn't radiate up and forward

That's the reason I didn't do a wrap as well.
