Does anyone know of an organization that helps Churches with a need? My Church ( Blanding Blvd Baptist Church in Jacksonville FL 32210 ). We need a New Roof and Insurance has limited our time for getting it. Or People are mostly Retired Military on fixed income and we don't have The $200.000 for a new Roof. Our Charter will not let us do Bake sales, Car Washes Etc.. so I am asking If anybody knows of Organizations that can help with this. Thanks MB  UPDATE******* We are now 30K from the cost for a NEW Roof***** So Hoping to have it done in November YEA!!

This is just me thinking outloud, but I have to wonder if many American small churches are looking at social shifts and reacting with wisdom. Can your Church body keep maintaining that building in general? Would it be more prudent to downsize to a smaller building? 200k is a ton of cash to put into a building that you can't keep maintaining. I'm not saying it's wrong... Just may need a ten year outlook on financials. Any business folks in the church? Have they looked at the books and offered some experience advice? |

Maybe do away with the building totally and rent space in a school or another church for services? |
