I'm about ten hours and three or four bosses in so far. Barely scratched the surface. It is good. It is haaaaaaaaaaard.  This game is much more difficult than Hollow Knight is, imo. But it is good. The world, the art style, the music, all of that is fantastic. But god I've wanted to hurl my Steam Deck across the room on more than a few occasions.

25 hours later and I'm at the end of act one. I thought Clair Obscur had GOTY locked up, and I think it still does, but the more I play Silksong the more I think it can give Clair Obscur a run for its money. This game is really, really good, y'all. Art design, world, music, gameplay, story, lore. It is the complete package, and it blows my mind that such a small independent studio made this and they're only charging $20 for it. Team Cherry was not fucking off for the past seven years. It was kind of a meme waiting on this game, but the wait was worth it. |

A little over 100 hours played, 100% completion, all main endings done. Best $20 I've ever spent in gaming, period. I'm speechless. This game, dude... Do you like Metroidvanias? Do you like a challenge? Do you like well thought out and made games? If the answer to one or more of those questions is "yes," even if it's "eh, kinda," please play Hollow Knight: Silksong. I can't wax poetic enough about this game. |
