Yep. 4.0l 5spd. It’s a decent little truck, and it’s like a billy goat in the woods. 4lo 1st gear and it will pull a hill at idle like nothing with a load of wood. My oldest is 10 and she can drive it.

Which one do you want to know the age of?

The 1983 F-150?

The 1988 F-150?

The 1999 F-150?

Does the 1998 Explorer count?

Yeah, I had to have that combo.

If you can avoid it, the 98 24v is kind of a PITA, the 98 dash is 1 year only and the replacement bezels are all made for the 99-02 layout. So if you're gonna put up with the 98, at least get the 12v.

And with the 98 12v, the fuel sending unit is a half year only thing, and the only place that still sells it wants over $400 for it, it's just a basket and sending unit, there's no lift pump in it I ended up buying a universal ultrasonic fuel sensor that mounts on the bottom of the tank, but it's been finicky. I think I may end up going to the 96-97 sending unit and using a convertor box to correct the ohm range that the 98+ wants to see.

Hard to tell from the pic but yours also looks like a club cab, a lot of people don't realize they still made the club cab 98+.

I hope to keep it going another 20 years.  Only rust on it is kicker panels on both sides.  Chevy was stupid to fill them with fiberglass house insulation.

Thanks!

I did purchase it through Freedom Ford. Not the best experience purchasing through them. I won't be back.  I waited 5.5 months for my special order truck to arrive and they added aftermarket charges(tint and security etching), billed more than the signed/agreed upon price and refused my outside financing when I went to pick it up.

I'm very happy with the truck though.
