Edit: On second thought I retract that statement. Percentage based tipping is stupid - it takes the same effort to bring me a $5 ($10?!) hamburger as it does to bring me a $60 steak. The way I am treated as a customer should be the same for both as well. A fixed amount makes more sense than a percentage based amount, and that amount should be based on how far above and beyond the normal call of duty the staff went in serving me. If all they did was do their job, no tip is required. In any event, let's not derail the meme thread. Someone start a tipping thread - that's never been done!
