Specifically the Luminox Atacama Field Automatic. I know nothing of the brand, and do not know anyone who owns one. Any insight or help is appreciated.

I was not happy with the Luminox I had. It was a quartz and started eating batteries in a few years. The tritium is addicting so next I tried a Deep Blue dive watch. I haven't owned a Luminox, but I did (gave it to my son) have a Ball with tritium. It's a cool idea. Not as bright as other watches when fresh from the sunlight, but after maybe 30 minutes it still blows just the same. I think the Ball was bought in 2010, it's due for a service including new tritium. |

My son comshawed my 2003 vintage Seal Team watch and went diving with it. Salt water intrusion... they did honor the warranty and sent him a new watch. I have a more basic Luminox dive style watch. I get a lot of use for the tritium while riding a motorcycle at night... can't find the pic.. |
