Now hear me out, If NHI are either extra dimensional or extraterrestrial, and from the accounts of eye witness, they have a torso, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes, phalanges, cranium, bipedal etc, we would have to of had a parallel anatomical evolution.

I just don’t see that happening.
I’m now leaning that they are the future development of Homo Sapiens that have developed the capability to travel back in time.

It would also explain why they are interested in us, non hostile, and just observing us during our civilizations technological super advancements.   It would be equivalent of us going back in time and watching the Old Kingdom in Egypt.

I just made a long post about this in another thread but I agree with you as it's a possibility.  There's a lot out there in the "mind realm" which has been coming up more and more the past decade, slowly dumping new ideas into pop culture under different words making it hard to find useful information.

However, it's one of those things that's on the edge.  There are some things we really might not want to know.   Anything from cheating SO to a friend that  was so distorted it was a closed casket funeral.  That's not something you want to open and peek into.   We intentionally don't discuss things about funerals and nearly universally hate funerals because it's a reminder of the end of so much.

We could be the descendants as well as time travelers, there was a movie about "near death history thrill tours" where people could time travel to a disaster.   A specific plane crash, a war, fires, and most any other thing in history, you get bumped back to say  this time for a month or two then they pull you out right before the actual crash to ensure you aren't hurt.

If you want to take the Darwin angle:  We have an efficient body shape to allow for large brains, the whole parallel evolution or something could be it, opposable thumbs and enough smarts to survive, at least in the area they're hunting in their part of the world.

I think they are described that way because that's what people expect to see and humans 75 years ago weren't very imaginative.

The things we see are most likely humans from the future if they aren't hidden current technology.  Until we get tangible evidence presented with actual devices or beings we won't know.  Right now, all we get a great stories and blurry videos of who knows what.

I think the Tridactyls from Peru offer some insight here.

We do know some mammals can have fewer than 5 fingers, like the Bradypus Sloths. It’s not far fetched to have a primate with three fingers and a thumb.  We know primates, us, can go from low tech to high tech in a few thousand years too.

There is the many worlds idea that your rearward  arrival would be to a "branch" timeline that looks identical but is not the same. It removes the paradoxes.

Im not sure it makes it any more "buyable" but wanted to mention.

There's also the idea that rearward time travel doesn't allow you to change anything, because you're part of that time. If you go back to, say, 1920, whatever you do in 1920, happened in 1920 and isn't changeable. Hawking's Time Protection Conjecture, or something like that. The past is fixed and can't be changed, thus time travel doesn't create causality violations.

It's likely wrong, but it's an idea that's out there. FTL creates causality violations (or can), so time travel likely would as well, and they're essentially one and the same anyway. This is, of course, according to current scientific knowledge. But, Einstein's theories have withstood every test thrown at them and always proved correct for over a century, so if it's wrong, it's not likely to be wrong by much. Enough to allow FTL/time travel? Not a question I can answer. Or anyone else at this moment.

Well, kind of. There is no limit in how fast spacetime itself can contract or expand. However, if the effect creates FTL travel, i.e. you arrive from point A to point B faster than light can reach point B, you can create causality violations. Regardless of the method you use. The explanation requires understanding future and past light cones.

No, information is limited to the speed of light also. Quantum mechanics says it's impossible to use entanglement to actually transmit information...so far. Doing so would probably require the hypothetical tachyon particle. Also, if you CAN transmit info FTL, well...see the videos above. Causality violations.

Beating light by hacking space does not equal going back in time, so no.  Is only a causality violation if you arrive before you left your destination.

If I can warp to Alpha Centauri in ten seconds, I’m still getting there ten seconds after I left Earth, respective of how long it takes light to catch up years later.  No potential grandfather paradox.

That's only true if the universe has a preferred frame of reference. If, as Einstein's theories state, and have been proven true again and again, that there is no preferred reference frame, and the speed of light is the same for all observers (i.e. every observer has their own frame of reference, and each is valid and equal), then yes, any FTL creates paradox and causality violations. Watch the videos to understand. They explain it simply, and better than I do.

The universe does not appear to have a preferred, underlying frame of reference. If it did, you would be correct and FTL travel would be possible without causality violations.

Basically, it isn't sharing information. The entangled pair has, say, one up, one down. But you don't know which one is which until you measure one, and it's random what you measure. When you do, you simply force the other to be in the opposite state. No information passes between them.

Seriously, there are discussions about it all over the web, ad nauseum. Physics Stack Exchange is a great place to start. Or, just type into any browser "can you use entangled particles to transmit information?" The answer is no, along with the explanations why.

Here's one explanation:

My thought is that there is a very real reason they changed the nomenclature.

EBE says “not from Earth”.

NHI allows for “they’ve been here all along” as well as “don’t bother looking in this universe for them”.

What is a reference frame for a warp bubble?  If you decouple from spacetime, do you then reference off of the CMB?

The particles have a bond that is decoupled from spacetime is my best guess. That or they act as one large object somehow.

There is the many worlds idea that your rearward  arrival would be to a "branch" timeline that looks identical but is not the same. It removes the paradoxes.

Im not sure it makes it any more "buyable" but wanted to mention.

Maybe they’re the reason for the Mandela Effect

I think Wolfram’s idea leads to universes branching and later merging.

The simplest explanation(not that anyone wants that in this forum) for the "Mandela Effect" is in the way your brain stores memory. It's not at all linear, and there's nothing mechanistic about it.
Memories are not even localized. They're associative with the unending stream of emotions that you go through life with and through which you both interpret your experience and remember it. It's why it smells and sounds(especially rhythmic sounds like music) are such strong triggers to memories.

Or...there's a magic retcon being carried out by the NHI or the Globopedohomocommies to undermine the Constitution, Christianity and righteous Manhood.

It's at least 50/50, right?

You're not decoupled from spacetime. You're warping spacetime around you.

The frame of reference is from any observer. Note that observer doesn't imply consciousness...the Earth is an "observer" in this sense, as is a star, people riding in a spaceship, or anything else. The point of it is that from the frame of reference of said observer, they are stationary, and the rest of the universe is in motion. That doesn't change if you're warping spacetime around you. You still appear stationary to yourself, everything else is moving.

The causality violations occur because there are other observers with their own frames of reference. From their frame, they are, again, stationary and you're the one moving. Their worldline is different, and their version of events can be different if FTL is in any way possible. Any way.

If you could compare all frames of reference to a single, preferred frame (the CMB in your question), then the universe itself would have that preferred frame of reference I mentioned, no other FoR would matter, and FTL would be possible without paradox. But, according to Relativity and literally every experiment we've ever done that confirmed it, that isn't the case.

And no, before anyone asks, a unified theory of everything or theory of quantum gravity doesn't fix this problem. Seriously. You all will watch multiple 3+ hour long videos of people talking about how the moon landing was faked but a 20-minute video explaining actual science is too much?

The 11-minute first video explains the problem. The second one explains everything I just mentioned above.
