For making good filament on these shit ass cardboard spools. 10 hours into a 12 hour ASA print and the filament jams in a swollen spool and suddenly I’m printing Bluetooth layers. Anyone got experience with a respooler model they like? Seems like I could buy 3kg spools of whatever and respool them onto one of the stack of empty plastic 1kg spools I have laying around. |

polymaker spools are easy to swap to another more better spool unless its one of the weird larger inner diameter rolls for the fiber reinforced products, (though i'm sure there is a model out there for that too. just havent looked) you can just rip the side of the cardboard off and plop it on your bambu or whatever reusable spool. Reading this while I am 10 hours into a 14 hour print, using poly... Ya, they make great filament, so far no major problem with the spools and we are starting full production. I do plan to redesign the spool feeder to handle any spool without issue. |

I don't use super high end filaments usually. I'd not hesitate to buy Sunlu for any of their offerings. That said, Bambu filaments print so exceptionally clean I've seen nothing else like it. I typically stick with Bambu if availability is there for what I need (been a challenge lately) and buy in bulk to get the pricing breaks. My 2nd choice is normally Sunlu, I've printed their PETG, PETG-CF, ABS, ASA & TPU with zero issues. |
