I miss the posters that actually contributed something positive to a topic. I always enjoyed picking the brains of Sylvan and Steinhab when a military topic came up. He won arguments by being so long winded that no one wanted to bother reading his shitty posts to refute them. Despite the fact that Sylvan is mostly irrational about the USMC (professional jealousy being what it is and all, and he admitted to it several years ago), I love having him around. A well read and very educated field grade officer, even if a bit abrasive. I don't think he's gone because he's banned, but he's staying away out of frustration just like R0N. dport, Sylvan, R0N, and a couple of others that are still here contributed significantly to this forum even if I didn't always agree with whatever they posted. Reading the war-college level debate they engaged in during the Obama years was refreshing. Steinab contributed his over-inflated ego and nothing else. Nothing. Less than nothing, in fact.
