I really wanted to like the show because I love cold war era spy stuff. The problem I had with it (unlike Deutschland 83"), was that it was more about the family and the spy stuff was the backdrop.

Also, they would go on little diatribes about how ruthless and bad the US was and didn't address any of the super nasty shit the soviets did to their own people, and the people of eastern Europe.

Not to mention the 20 or so people they had killed up to that point.
